Stuck

Almira looked around. "Listen. Can you hear it?"

Arcturius shook his head. He whispered, "What is it?"

The trees shook as a large reptilian beast came out, it hissed.

Almira smiled and approached it calmly. "Hey there." She ran her hands across its face, soothing it. "Arc, come here."

Arcturius floated over. "Yes?"

The ground dragon hissed again.

Almira kept it calm. "Jump on it's back."

Arcturius glided into the air, landing gently on its back. He nodded at Almira.

It hardly seemed to notice.

Almira smiled. "Well? Ride it!"

Arcturius blinked, "Oh. Err... Giddyup?"

Almira rolled her eyes and jumped on its neck, she spoke in its ear. "Kunlmit!"

It reared back, roared and took of charging away.

"So," Arcturius shouted, "Where are we going?"

Almira paused. "Didn't think of that before, marble caves?"

The dragon was approaching a ravine at breakneck speed, getting ready to jump.

"Alright," he nodded. "Onward!"

The dragon leaped, but because of the extra weight of the two, went crashing face first on the other side.

Almira gave it a pat on the head. "Good job! Kerami Dragon!"

It seemed to like that and stood up.

Arcturius coughed. "Bit rough for a landing, but good job." He fidgeted slightly.

The dragon spat venom near Arc's foot and lumbered off.

Almira waved cheerfully. "Bye! Thanks for the ride!" She noticed Arc fidgeting. "Something wrong?"

"You know, I'm not sure." He looked upwards, "But I have some nagging feeling that I've missed something important."

She tilted her head. "Does it happen all the time?"

"No," he said thoughtfully, "Just here..." He held up a handful of soil and sniffed it. He shrugged and walked a bit a away. "Oh," he said softly as he tensed up. "Oh!" He shouted, hitting his palm against the side of his head, "I'm so thick!"

"What is it?" She hadn't noticed anything out of the ordinary.

"Where's the shop?", he snapped.

She looked around, trying to determine where they were. "Hmmm, last I checked, in the arena. Currently inactive but ran by my clan's enemys."

Arcturius sighed, "I need to see it. I only bought us two pods, and we used those up on the way here.

"We also made two craters...." She muttered. "Right, but do you really want to do this now? It's not night yet, I can see in the dark, but they can't."

Arcturius sighed, "Alright." He gestured in front of him, "Where to?"

"Places!" She started walking. "So...Why did you need the dirt to realize that we were stuck?"
