It licked him.

Almira picked it up. "Excuse her, she's a cursed kit. Pretty much a normal animal." She looked sad saying it.

Setsuna could care less

"Oh," Arcturius said, a twinkle in his eyes, "I wouldn't say that." He smiled, "I have been alive for six hundred years, and I have yet to meet anything 'normal'."

Kit covered his eyes with a little paw.

"No, she really is just an animal, her genetics are screwed up, she doesn't even have a real name." She said, disregarding the earlier argument.

"Kali."

"What?", Arcturius asked.

She shook her head. "You don't usually give something a name unless you intend to keep it. We let them stick around if they choose, but they are wild, so most of the time they leave. She was to be my apprentice. I have every right to name her, I would have called her Anikka."

"Eh."

"Lunch," Arc said flatly. "Or, dinner." He searched his cloak for a timepiece in vain, "Breakfast?"

Almira looked at the sky. "It's about......five or so in the afternoon. She took out a pocket watch. "Yep. Five twenty-two."

The kit pounced on Setsuna's foot.

Setsuna ignored it

Arcturius got out his comedy bib. "I'm hungry."

The kit jumped on his head. "Mew."

Almira tilted her head at Arc. "Wait, really? Okay...." She left to go get him something.

Setsuna sighed. "Hello creature. Is there any discernible reason why you have perched on top of my head?"

Arcturius yawned.

The kit, who didn't know how to speak or understand words, was just glad he played attention. She licked his ear.

Arcturius took the time to survey the area. He muttered something and looked at the kit, "I think it likes you, Setsuna."

Setsuna sighed and per it. "I do have a knack for unwanted attention."

Almira came back carrying a plate of sweetrolls. "Here Arc." She looked at Setsuna. "Do you want something too?"

The kit immediately abandoned Setsuna and sat at Arturius's feet.

"Those." Setsuna ate Arcturius' food

Arcturius shrugged, "Oh well." He yawned.

Almira looked around. "So do you guys want to go get those space pods now or something else?"

Kit bit Setsuna, but her teeth were too small to hurt in the slightest. She growled playfully.

Setsuna informed the animal "space pod?"

Arcturius nodded, "It's about time, yeah."

Almira looked at Setsuna. "Oh right.... Arc, you explain." She said as she started walking.
